Esencia is a quartet of exceptional Melbourne musicians united by their passion for Latin music.

The group features Jack Howard (Hunters & Collectors) on trumpet and vocals; the brilliant Heather Michael (flute and vocals) and Amy Valent Curlis (percussion) from Jack’s acclaimed Bacharach & Beyond project; and renowned flamenco guitarist Kieren Ray. Together, they bring to life classic works by Astor Piazzolla, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Sergio Mendes, Burt Bacharach, and many more, blending virtuosity, rhythm, and soul into every performance.
