Born in El Salvador and raised in Australia after fleeing the Salvadoran Civil War, Diego Villalta's work explores the rhythms of memory, migration, identity and cultural continuity. Drawing from a life immersed in music, ritual and visual storytelling, his paintings become vessels for histories that refuse to be forgotten.
